Dream Hard

Mobility restrictions during 2020 are not the best incentive for a photographer. At the core of this craft, there is an attitude to explore the world we live in. And if we are not able to move and travel, it seems difficult at first to explore that world with a camera. I have started a series of photographs in which I try to portray the night, while we are all closed at home. The streets are deserted and dark. There is no car or pedestrian around. We only see hints of humanity resting at home and dreaming, perhaps, that tomorrow could be better than today.

Blue Line

I spent a few days in Oliva, Valencia, together with my old friend Guillermo. We took the gear for kitesurfing but unfortunately the wind went down and we laid on the beach just watching the time passing.

During one of the walks, I was lucky to pay atention on that beautiful line crossing along, no matter wich street you walk.

Lifeguard

Beside some kind of stereotypes, I always thought life guarding is a nice job. The simple idea of watching people in the water, with light reflections, distortions, the sun, the blue dominant background... It all seems to me like an ideal set up to imagine scenes and try to capture the essence of impresionism.

Southernmost

I met my childhood town when I was 30. It is the shouthernmost corner of  inland Europe. Just infront of the town, and only separete by a few kilometers, there is another continent. In between is the confluence of two seas.

From both sides of the straight, you can perfectly see your neigbourgs, the strangers, the relatives.

1 Km

In the harshly part of the lockdown, the only allowed activity out of home was to go walking with the your children in your own neighbourhood. The distance you can walk away from your home was 1 Km.
I decided to explore what I found during those days, taking pictures of all that things that are always around me but I never paid atention to explore with calm. For me, the result is a collection of pictures that portrait the time. Not those days of global crisis but the time we daily waste when it's a "normal" situation.

White not White

Mountains have a special attraction to me. I perfectly remember the majority of details from the first trips when my parents brought me to Pyrenees. Nowadays, mountains are one out of two destinations when I travel. The bigger and higher, the better. When I get extreme places, I always try to understand what makes them so special and the what's the reason for people to live there instead of searching a more comforable place. In the case of mountains, the answer is not white.
